Description

The original artwork “Awakening”, short for “Awakening of the Malachite Human”, speaks to us about this feeling when you’ve kind of been half asleep half awake for a long time, still as a stone, hatching and contemplating for weeks or months. All this energy, but untapped, unused. As the inner sun slowly rises you start growing leaves and branches from the edges of your being. This blossoming has been building up slowly behind your eyelids, on the inner curves of the galaxy of your mind and inside your ribcage, and then it comes. The awakening. The need to change things fast, the need to expand, to take action. This process of stillness and blossoming is like a spiral, an everlasting growth where you incubate a dream, let it grow, and let it burst into the world in blossoms and stardust when it is ready to awaken.
